EastEnders Phils future – Alfie feud, Keeble is Phils sister and Sam exposed

Phil Mitchell was shocked to learn in EastEnders that his sister Sam had been lying to him for months.

The bombshell revelation was made by Shirley Carter, who also told Phil that she knows the truth about his connection to DCI Keeble – and has since blackmailed him in return for ownership of Peggys.

With so much at stake, viewers are now speculating about Phil's future and what could happen to him as the truth about him and Keeble begins to unravel.

Here, Daily Star takes a look at some of the fan theories surround Phil Mitchell.

Phil brings down Sam

After Shirley learnt that Phil was working for the police, she dropped a huge bombshell and revealed to him that Sam was playing him for months.

Kat Slater realised that Sam was behind the couple's recent problems, leading Phil to kick her out of the house.

Now some fans think that Phil could bring down Sam and expose her, leading to Billy's potential release for a crime he didn't committ.

"Ahead of tonight's #EastEnders How do you think Phil will responde to Shirley's threat? Will he 1. Report to Keeble that Shirley is blackmailing him putting the Carters at risk? 2. Will he use Shirley to help bring down Sam and secure Billy's freedom?" asked one fan.

"Shirley might have contacts to help Billy out but this seems unlikely. I think Shirley would gain higher satisfaction in bringing down Sam over choosing to go against Phil," added a second.

However, other fans think that as Phil tries to bring Sam down, he could land back in jail too – thanks to Shirley.

"It'll be interesting actually to see what proof Shirley gets against Sam. We know she gets some incriminating evidence against them on Tuesday as well, but what will she discover and what will it contribute to both Sam and Phil's downfall?" asked a third.

Keeble and Phil are siblings

Keeble's obsession with Phil seems to be growing more by the day, and fans have taken to social media with a very interesting theory behind her motives.

Prior to the EastEnders flashback episode, some viewers tweeted that they thought Keeble was actually Phil's sister – and that is why she has such a strong connection to him.

Fans suspect that she could be a secret child of Phil's dad Eric, with one saying on Twitter: "Keeble is definitely Phil's sister. I'm sticking with it".

"She's his sister, the first Samantha," added a second, while a third commented: "The only affair that would fit with Keeble being Eric's daughter would be the one with Maureen Loftus, it ended in 1969. Keeble is likely 52-54, as Alison Newman is 54 in real life. #EastEnders."

A fourth questioned: "The fact that Keeble ends up being Phil's sister… what will he do with such a revelation?"

Could Keeble and Phil be related? Viewers will have to wait and see.

Keeble showdown

Since being released from Walford prison, DCI Keeble has held power over Phil Mitchell, after he became an informant for the police officer.

However, Keeble has been making Phil's life a misery and fans are begging Phil to expose her villianous and corrupt ways once and for all.

"Phil needs to record Keeble and give it to her DCI," said one fan, while a second added: "Keeble, Phil only has to put your antics to your bosses."

A third begged: "Phil needs to listen to Kat and report Keeble who's blackmailing him."

"Kat is right Phil, you need to put your pride at the door and report Keeble," said a fourth.

A fifth added: "Phil had a chance to record every conversation between him and DCI Keeble to use against her but missed out on the opportunity – and don't you need a police warrant before searching someone's property? Could have gotten her off his back for good by exposing her."

So could an epic showdown between Phil and Keeble be on the way?

Perhaps so, and fans think they may have worked out how, with another commenting: "I would love to see Phil call a family meeting and be honest with Ben, so they can all work to bring Keeble down."

Phil and Alfie feud

Phil Mitchell recently married Kat Slater, but many fans think that a feud could be brewing between him and Kat's ex-husband Alfie Moon.

Alfie's sudden arrival on the square took everyone by surprise, but it seems he has found an unlikely friend in Linda Carter.

Could this mutual disliking of Phil lead to tensions brewing between Kat's lovers? And could Alfie try to win Kat back from Phil?

Fans certainly seem to think so, with one saying: "I liked how Alfie and Linda opened up tonight on a range of things from Linda's disapproval of Phil – remember Phil attempted to buy the pub pre-lockdown which Linda didn't want and Alfie opening up on his days behind the bar with Kat," followed by a smiling face emoji surrounded by love hearts.

A second added: "With it being heavily rumoured that Mick might get killed off at xmas by Janine, this makes me thing that like Linda did with Max, she'll attempt to sleep with Alfie. Kat may get jealous and end things with Phil."

Other viewers speculated that Phil could even take matters further, with a third suggesting: "Alfie Moon's kidnapping is organised either by Phil or Sam Mitchell."

That's not all, as some suspect that Alfie's sudden arrival on the square could be do with Phil and not Kat after all – with fans suggesting that Alfie could working with DCI Keeble to bring Phil down.

"I still think Alfie could be in cahoots with Keeble, but I could be wrong on that one. It's still a good twist though and it makes sense given that both parties are against Phil. Despite Alfie making out that he isn't. Alfie is desperate to win Kat back," commented a fourth.

Framed by Shirley

Despite fans beginning Phil to put an end to Keeble's torment, other viewers think that the tables could be turned – and Phil could land back in jail.

After Shirley photographed Phil in the car with Keeble however, some fans think that she could set Phil up and expose them both, as she tries to regain ownership of Peggys.

"Oooh Shirley's taken a picture of Phil and Keeble in the Car," said one fan.

"Can't Shirley give that photo of Keeble and Phil to Billy, then Billy can go to the police and show she is corrupt, and the cast will fall apart," asked a second.

A third commented: "Shirley is going to expose Phil and Keeble."

If Shirley does not land Phil back in jail, some EastEnders fans have an alternative theory about who could – Billy Mitchell.

"Imagine that Billy was the mastermind behind taking Phil down and that's how Keeble knew he got the gun," said a fourth.

A fifth added: "If Phil thinks Keeble won't tell Billy he made a statement he is a fool, then she will use that for Billy to grass up Phil and ask for his dodge business."

However, Phil, Shirley and Billy have to watch their backs, as fans think that despite their best efforts, Keeble could still have the last laugh.

"Forget Phil. What about Keeble? She'd totally stop at absolutely nothing to bring down the Mitchells, especially Phil. Shirley clearly has no idea who she's actually messing with. Keeble wouldn't think twice about going after the Carters if it helped her get Phil," they said.
