EastEnders spoilers – MAJOR character to make shock EXIT as seven stars QUIT; plus Emmerdale & Coronation Street news | The Sun

SHOCKED EastEnders fans took to Twitter to express sadness and surprise as a beloved EastEnders character leaves the Square.

EastEnders's Maddy Hill made a shock departure from the soap last week after a year back on the show.

She joined in 2014 but left in 2016 after marrying Tamwar Masood (Himesh Patel) to travel the world.

Hill made a return to the show a year ago when it was revealed that her character and Tamwar were getting a divorce, but last week she left the soap in the back of a taxi.

Nancy's been struggling with her mother's alcoholism and troubles with her boyfriend Zack. Finding out that the latter cheated on her, Nancy made the shock decision to leave the square for good.

Hoping to take her sister with her, she left her behind at the request of her mum, Linda.

Fans took to Twitter to express their sadness at the exit with one posting: "Am I the only one to cry at Nancy leaving omg #eatsenders"

But as we know, returns happen when you least expect it and thankfully she wasn't killed off.

Perhaps we'll see her on the square again one day.

The 29-year-old said of the name: “We’ve always liked it. It was one of the only names we both agreed on.”

Briony explained: “She’s Daisy Josephine. Josephine is a nod to Sam’s brother Joe and my granddad Joe.

“Daisy is also the French name for Marguerite and my mum’s mum is called Margaret, so it was a way to have both grandparents in there.”

Their daughter will turn two in August.

Legendary Coronation Street prop set to be DESTROYED

An iconic Coronation Street prop is set to be destroyed as ITV bosses scramble to find a buyer.

The Fleetwood Heritage Leisure Trust is disposing of its trams, but is experiencing problems finding a home for Balloon Car 710 which has been stored at Wyre Dock for several years.

The Trust has a deadline in 2022 to remove its trams from Wyre Dock.

They will need to arrange for it to be dismantled for scrap or spare parts.

There are various examples of this tram at Rigby Road Depot in Blackpool, so there is no need to add a further example to the existing lines of trams stored there.

However, there may well be options for it to be moved elsewhere in the country which may not necessarily be of a transport heritage profile.
