Eggheads viewers all have the same complaint about 'waste of time' contestants | The Sun

EGGHEADS viewers all have the same complaint about 'waste of time' contestants.

The Channel 5 quiz show, which is presented by Jeremy Vine, aired its latest episode last night.

Trying to topple the Eggheads were the Quayside Quizzers.

This team all know one another through various societies at Newcastle University.

However the team's performance throughout the episode left viewers frustrated.

They took to social media to hit out at group.

"One of the thickest teams ever on Eggheads. Waste of time," said one viewer.

Another fumed: "Do this lot know what a quiz is? #eggheads."

"#Eggheads Where did they get these challengers from today? Quizzers they are not!" said a third.

While a fourth drastically posted: "Why is it when I watch #Eggheads I get the urge to commit mass murder."

Meanwhile, a former contestant on Eggheads has lifted the lid on what it's like to appear on the gameshow.

Taking to Reddit, user gazchap posted: "I was on Eggheads and couldn’t believe the ratty state of the set – there were holes everywhere."

The user, presumably known as Gary, appeared on the show alongside his family – and the close-knit group were soon left disgusted by its former home at the BBC studios.

"Was on Eggheads a few years back with my wife and brothers making up the rest of the team," he said.

"Filming was up in Glasgow, so we had to make our own way there and we were reimbursed the travel costs, and they put us up in a hotel for the night.

"Two things that stuck out to me were that the set was surprisingly 'cheap' looking."

Eggheads airs on Channel 5 and My5.
