How tall is The Crown’s Princess Diana actress Elizabeth Debicki?

Actress Elizabeth Debicki will be taking on the iconic role of Princess Diana in season five of The Crown.

According to Celeb Heights, the Australian actress is 1.9m, which is equivalent to 6ft 1in tall.

She will be starring opposite The Wire and The Affair star Dominic West who will portray King Charles III during the 1990s.

Debicki is taller than her co-star West who stands at a little over 6ft.

The 32-year-old actress is actually the tallest of the main series five cast.

Princess Margaret star Lesley Manville is 5ft 1in, Camilla Parker Bowles’ Olivia Williams is 5ft 7in and the Duke of Edinburgh actor Jonathan Pryce is 6ft.

On the other side of the spectrum is actress Imelda Staunton who is playing the Queen, at 4ft 9in.

This upcoming series is the drama’s most controversial yet, especially given the timing.

Season five will cover the 1990s which includes King Charles III’s developing romance with his now Queen Consort Camilla Parker Bowles.

He was still married to Princess Diana at this time but the affair did lead to their divorce in 1996.

The following year, on August 31, 1997, she was tragically killed in a car accident in Paris.

This period in royal history was also a turbulent time for the Queen herself.

As the country went into mourning, Her Majesty didn’t return to London from Balmoral for the first few days after the news of Diana’s death.

She didn’t release a statement regarding the tragedy and remained quiet, deeming it a private matter as she and King Charles III were no longer married.

Five days after, the Queen did speak out and pay tribute to the People’s Princess in a television broadcast.

This will be conveyed in series five of The Crown, less than two months after the Queen’s death.

The Crown is coming to an end with just a couple more series left to air.

It has already been confirmed there will be six in total with the final lot of episodes expected to come out in late 2023.

The cast from the fifth outing will be back to reprise their roles in order to tell this final chapter of the Royal Family.

The Crown season 5 premieres on Wednesday, November 9, on Netflix.
