Grieving Whitney falls apart and Suki has a plan in EastEnders

There are heartbreaking goodbyes in EastEnders next week as Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty) and Zack Hudson (James Farrar) face the most painful thing a parent could endure.

As Whitney falls apart with grief, the opportunity to say goodbye to their lost baby Peach thrusts turmoil on them.

But will Zack end up attending alone as Whitney can’t face it?

Meanwhile, Ash Panesar (Gurlaine Kaur Garcha) is all set to leave Albert Square, which forces Suki (Balvinder Sopal) to form a risky plan that leaves her at risk from unpredictable husband Nish (Navin Chowdhry).

Will it pay off – or is he set to discover her fresh secret?

In other developments, a new promotion for Callum Highway (Tony Clay) leads him straight into an investigation for Jack Branning against Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara).

But neither of them may be prepared for what they could find – Denise Fox (Diane Parish) has every reason to panic.

Here’s what is coming up next week.

Monday March 6

Zack and Whitney argue about leaving Peach at the hospital and are left shaken as its revealed that their daughter’s existence isn’t legally recognised.

Zack takes solace in the hospital faith room and is agitated by the nonchalant attitude of an expectant father.

Whitney softens to the idea of spending time with Peach after speaking with Nurse Lynsey as Zack and Whitney share a tender final moment with their daughter before saying goodbye.

Sonia enlists the Walford residents to create a condolence box for Whitney and Zack. Later, Sonia seeks guidance from Lola as she struggles to put pen to paper.

Stacey continues to worry about money when Lily reveals she needs a new uniform, but with Whitney’s circumstance playing heavily on her mind, Stacey feels more grateful than ever for her family.

Tuesday March 7

Suki persuades Nish to spend more time at their business in Leeds.

Later, Ash lets Nish know that she’s been re-offered a job in Canada and Nish enlists Suki to dissuade their daughter from accepting.

Wanting her daughter to spread her wings, Suki manipulates Ash into accepting the job by suggesting that she isn’t capable, knowing her daughter will accept to spite her.

Later, Suki tells Nish there was nothing she could do, and the pair head to The Vic to reluctantly celebrate Ash leaving, but Nish soon becomes enraged when he realises his wife’s deceit and threatens her back at No.41…

Whitney pushes her loved ones away as she struggles to come to terms with her loss. Chelsea and Sonia remain determined to be there for Whitney.

Zack desperately wants to speak to Whitney but feels rejected and is unaware that she wants to speak to him too. Sharon tries to encourage Zack.

Jack offers Callum a promotion to Trainee Detective Constable and the pair celebrate in The Vic alongside Ben, Vi and Patrick. Vi is reluctant to attend a journalist dinner with Patrick.

Denise continues to worry about Jack’s investigation into Ravi and tries to persuade him to reconsider.

Later at The Vic, Denise is jealous when Ravi walks in with a date and learns that they’re heading to the same hotel of their last dalliance.

Wednesday March 8

Callum’s first day in his new role gets off to rocky start when other members of the force give him a nickname.

Jack sets to stamp out this behaviour in the team and gets Callum to work trailing through CCTV footage of Ravi. After Jack leaves for a family meal with Ricky Jr.

Zack watches on as Whitney struggles with her emotions and later invites her to Peggy’s where he offers her some money. This falls flat with Whitney.

Eve has a heart-to-heart with Ash and convinces her to have an honest conversation with Suki.

Ash speaks to Nish and convinces him to give Suki more responsibility with the family businesses.

Stacey is on the hunt for extra work and asks Linda for a part-time shift at The Vic.

Linda declines leading Jean to secure additional cleaning work for them both.

Thursday March

Stacey is exhausted after taking on night shifts with Jean, and accidently scolds her hand as she rushes to open the bap-van.

At the clinic, Stacey has a heart-to-heart with Sonia about her mum-guilt and money struggles.

After some words of advice from Ben, Callum makes a decision.
