Jeff Hordley is one of the veteran actors in Emmerdale with ITV viewers following his character’s turbulent life as both a family man and the villain of the village. This week, fans got to see the emotional side of Cain Dingle as he said his final goodbyes to his mum Faith (played by Sally Dexter). They may have been estranged for many years, but Jeff in real life is very close to his loved ones, despite his often hectic schedule on set.

Emmerdale star Jeff Hordley is married to co-star Zoe Henry who plays Rhona Goskirk in the iconic soap.
They went to the same drama school together in 1994 with him proposing to Zoe on the day she won an award for Best Actress in a Leading Role at the Manchester Evening News’s theatre awards.
Jeff and Zoe then tied the knot in a small ceremony in 2003 and while they both work on Emmerdale, they have very little to do with each other on screen.
This was a purposeful decision as the couple prefers to have a “very separate existence” at work, according to Zoe when she appeared on Lorraine.
Does Emmerdale star Jeff Hordley have children?
Yes, Jeff Hordley and Zoe Henry have two children together, daughter Violet Percy, who was born in 2005 and son Stan Percy who was welcomed three years later.
To ensure that one of them could be at home for their children when they were young, Jeff and Zoe’s storylines were filmed at different times.
While she was at the heart of Marlon’s (Mark Charnock) stroke storyline, Zoe said her husband was a tremendous help.
Zoe told Lorraine: “We often do line learning together.
“This time, Jeff’s been amazing. He’s just taking the weight of what’s going on at home.
“Obviously we’ve got two kids, two dogs, we’ve got an allotment and he’s just managing all of that.
“He’s about to get busy as I sort of quieten down so we’ll swap the baton then.”

The Cain Dingle star also previously spoke of how during the COVID-19 2020 and 2021 lockdowns, they would spend quality time together as a family at their allotment.
He said: “During the whole covid lockdowns, it’s like a two-minute walk from my house, it really helped Zoe and I.
“And the dogs came up with us and the children came up with us and getting your hands in the earth, it’s so good for your mental health.
“Just watching something grow is such a positive experience because it reaffirms life.”
ITV viewers were left heartbroken this week as Cain’s mum Faith died in his arms.
It’s been known for months that she was going to die but Faith decided to take matters into her own hands and overdosed on pills.
Cain was too late to stop her but comforted Faith as she passed away, leaving him and the rest of the family devastated.
Emmerdale airs four nights a week at 7.30pm on ITV.
