Emmerdale reveals brain aneurysm story for major character

Victor Anderson (Eddie Osei) revealed another secret to Claudette (Flo Wilson) in Friday’s (July 7) edition of Emmerdale – he has a brain aneurysm.

The newcomer has caused a lot of trouble for his son, Charles (Kevin Mathurin), since his return from prison, but the likes of Claudette, Manpreet (Rebecca Sarker) and Naomi (Karene Peter) have all been convinced that Victor has changed and deserves a second chance.

This has left Charles feeling somewhat isolated from his family, and Victor took advantage of that in Thursday’s (July 6) episode, revealing a secret to Claudette about the weeks leading up to his imprisonment.

Victor was behind bars for over 20 years after a robbery and brutal attack on a security guard. He told Claudette that prior to his sentencing, he had the chance to remain a free man, and all he needed was an alibi.

He asked Charles for help, but he refused, so Claudette was left believing that her son sent her husband to prison.

Charles argued that Victor wasn’t the victim in this story, but it wasn’t enough.

The difficult dynamic between the Andersons continued tonight. Charles tried to get rid of Victor by offering him money, but he wasn’t going to be swayed.

Back at home, Victor and Claudette were chatting. He started speaking about how he doesn’t want Charles to treat him badly, and then revealed that he has an unruptured brain aneurysm.

Initially, Claudette thought that Victor was lying, but he went on to talk about how much he wants Charles to love him, and that he knows his family is the only thing he needs in life.

An unruptured brain aneurysm means that Victor is living a life on edge, given that it could burst, and he could end up in hospital.

With Claudette on his side, will Charles change his ways?

Or has this been Victor’s plan all along?
