Chas Dingle (played by Lucy Pargeter) was pushed to her limits when Al Chapman (Michael Wildman) declared he would leave Emmerdale if she didn’t want a future with him. The Dingle stalwart convinced Al to give her more time but spoilers reveal she will drive her son Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) to leave to keep her affair underwraps.

Aaron was horrified when he discovered his mother was cheating on loyal Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt).

In next week’s episodes, Chas worries Aaron will tell her husband about her affair.

Paddy realises his wife and step-son aren’t on the best of terms and encourages Aaron to reach out to his mum.

Aaron agrees but his heart-to-heart with Chas soon turns sour.

He accuses his mum of still being with Al but Chas vehemently denies the accusation.

Instead of owning up to her mistake, she emotionally blackmails her son into giving up.

The conversation turns to Aaron’s future in the village and Chas nudges him in the direction of leaving sooner rather than later.

Aaron agrees it’s best for him if he departs after Faith Dingle’s (Sally Dexter) funeral.

Later, Chas feigns sadness when Paddy relays the news that Aaron will be leaving.

His suspicions are heightened by her reaction and the vet begins to worry.

Will Paddy finally realise what his wife has been up to behind his back?

Meanwhile, Al tries to slow down Kerry Wyatt’s (Laura Norton) as she gets excited about their upcoming wedding.

Al tries to keep Kerry happy while reassuring Chas that he wants a future with her.

Elsewhere, Chas star Lucy recently spoke out on her character’s controversial affair storyline.

She said: “We all love a naughty boy, don’t we? Genuinely people are not liking them together.

“You have got the cheerleaders for Al and Chas but we have definitely got the absolute haters for Chas and what she’s doing to Paddy and the reasons behind it.”

Lucy admitted she “hates” what Chas is going to her husband Paddy.

“Over the years the amount of stories that are given to you that are a massive gift to have, but not all the time do you believe it, not all the time do you justify it as yourself,” she told Digital Spy and other press.

“As an actor you have to find the truth in it and trust what your character has been given.”

Emmerdale airs on ITV on weekdays at 7pm.
