Once her affair was exposed, Chas was shunned by most of her family – including Mandy – and even isolated during the festive season.

Could the fear of the family coming down on her like a ton of bricks stop Mandy from getting close to Paddy again? Lisa Riley isn't so sure.

"She's always been a doormat when it comes to relationships and she refuses, because she knows it's not right and I think in the back of her head she can also hear the rest of the family going, 'Mandy, don't do it'", the actress said.

"But when Tina Turner comes on they think it's a sign, someone's telling them."

Fans of the Yorkshire-based program will remember Mandy and Paddy have a long history together, as they've been involved in an on-off romance since 1999.

The pair were married before Paddy called it quits when he found out Mandy had also cheated on him.

However, Mandy may have learned from her mistakes and viewers have long been asking for her to sweep Paddy off his feet following his failed marriage with Chas.

And Lisa couldn't help but notice how eager viewers have been for the legendary couple to fix their romance.

"All over social media, it's what they want", she claimed.

"What we did realise was when the pandemic hit everybody was watching Paddy and Mandy on the lunchtime and they just loved it. That generation weren't even born."
