Emmerdale villain to return to seek ultimate revenge on popular couple

Emmerdale: Billy and Dawn at scene where Alex was hit by a car

Emmerdale stars Jay Kontzle and Olivia Bromley have teased the return of Alex Moore (played by Liam Boyle) following his dramatic exit earlier this year.

Alex ended up leaving the village after being threatened by vicar Charles Anderson (Kevin Mathurin).

The drug dealer almost ruined many lives in the village including Charles’ daughter Naomi Walters (Karene Peters), as well as Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley) and Billy Fletcher (Jay Kontzle).

Alex threatened to have Billy sent to prison for knocking him down in a hit-and-run, but after Charles paid him a visit, he soon backed off and fled the village.

However, speaking exclusively with Express.co.uk and other press, Jay and Olivia addressed whether Alex could return to ruin their lives once again.

Jay began: “I personally think that it’s always going to be in the back of everyone’s minds, and it’s one of them things that we are kind of tethered together.

“Just with the fact that we’ve now got Lucas and Clemmie and even though he’s not seen or heard at the moment, he’s not out of the picture.

“So yeah, there’s always potential for him to pop up and do some damage.”

Olivia agreed: “I think that he’s just a presence in our lives.

“Like Jay says we can’t get rid of him entirely because of the kids but at the moment.

“We think he’s out of the picture and we’ve got a little bit of relief because he left the village under very scared circumstances.”

She added: “So we were pretty positive he’s not around at the moment. But yeah, he could crop up at any time so it’s a bit of a threat.”

In official spoilers released by ITV, Billy and Dawn receive some good news after a visit to the hospital.

At the hospital, Dawn is taken aback to hear she’s sixteen weeks pregnant. She and Billy are emotional as they gaze at their baby for the first time.

The next day, Billy and Dawn are united as they plan to give Clemmie an extra-special birthday before they break the news that she’s going to have a new sibling.

However, Clemmie’s subdued as she opens her birthday presents, and Dawn and Billy are worried for their daughter as she tells them that no matter what she wishes for on her birthday, it won’t bring her mum back.

After Nicky (Lewis Cope) turns up with a card for Clemmie, Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham) throws him out and in the aftermath, accidentally reveals Dawn’s pregnancy to Lucas and Clemmie.

It’s chaos at Home Farm as Dawn and Billy struggle to calm Clemmie, who’s convinced that the new baby will mean she’s forced out of the family.

Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7.30pm on ITV.
