X Factor Fleur East struggled to hold back her tears in an emotional interview on Lorraine as the musician revealed the reason behind her decision to join the cast of Strictly Come Dancing 2022.
During Thursday's (August 11) visit to the ITV studios, Ranvir Singh welcomed viewers back to discuss the latest news headlines this morning.
And one of the main stories on everyone's lips was the announcement of the twelth Strictly contestant set to take to the famous ballroom later this year.

As the 45-year-old broadcaster welcomed Fleur onto the show via video link, the brunette beauty confessed she would be competing in the show in memory of her father Malcom East.
During the celebratory interview, the radio presenter confessed that one of the main reasons she will be swapping her headphone for ballroom shoes is because her late father was such a huge fan of the show.
She told viewers at home: "For me, it's quite sentimental because my daddy passed away in 2020 [and] Strictly was his favourite show.
"When I was on the X Factor in the breaks in the live studio he used to check his phone for the Strictly updates because he was really annoyed that he couldn't watch Strictly.
"So I'm just going to be doing it for him and I'm gutted that he can't see me do it to be honest but I'm just gonna keep him in my mind when I'm doing the show."
Ranvir went on to reveal that Fleur's father sadly passed away during the peak of the pandemic from a heart attack.
However the pop sensation remained positive and shared her excitement about joining the show in his honour.
She went on: "So I'm excited, My family, for that reason, I think they're gonna be buzzing. I wasn't expecting to get this emotional about it."
The radio host paid a tear-jerking tribute to her father on Instagram back in March 2020 as she thanked him for "cheering her on until the end."
Fleur wrote: "Daddy East, Max, the ultimate G! What a man you were! So young at heart, always living in the moment.
"Swagger in abundance and such an unforgettable presence. Loved by so many" You were always my biggest fan" Cheering me on until the end."

"Every not I sing, every song I write and everything I do, will be for you. This album is for you Dad. Love you so much Daddy Darling. Have an amazing time up there! See you soon."
Alongside a touching tribute, she shared a carousel of images of the starlet with her dad, including a stunning snap of him walking her down the aisle at her wedding to her husband Marcel Badiane-Robin.
