The Duke and Duchess of Sussex broke streaming records with their series on Netflix detailing their exit from the Royal Family. With a second documentary series set to be released in less than a week, Lady Colin Campbell gave her verdict on what the couple might do next.

Speaking to Nana Akua, Lady C made a number of controversial claims about the couple before stating she believes they are a “busted flush”.

She told Nana: “If they manage to stay together, it is a downward slide because the fact of the matter is the only thing they had to sell was the glamour of being royal.

“They have deglamourised it entirely. No one finds being sullied by filth, and they’re victims, and ‘poor me’ is not glamourous.

“Glamourous me is glamourous. I think they are a busted flush.

“There might be another series from Netflix, there might be one or two more things they can milk for the next year.

“But I think two years from now everybody is going to treat them like all the A-listers in New York, Montecito, Britain and Europe are treating them, like pariahs.”

Lady C’s comments sparked an uproar amongst GB News viewers who claimed the broadcaster was “obsessed” with the couple.

Twitter user Lizzy Mack tweeted: “Scraping the barrel now…”

While Marcus S added: “GB News are obsessed wih them!”

David Gray posted: “Oh give it a rest lady muck, your craving for relevance is embarrassing.”

“WTF does this so called non bias channel keep rolling out the same oddballs every time they have a Harry and Meghan debate,” Nick Adams wrote.

Meghan and Harry will be back on TV screens before the end of the New Year with their series Live to Lead.

The pair have spoken to a number of inspiring leaders for the show, which was inspired by Nelson Mandela.

In a teaser for the show, Prince Harry said: “This was inspired by Nelson Mandela who said what counts in life, is not the mere fact that we have lived.”

Before Meghan concluded: “It is the difference we have made to the lives of others that will determine the significance of the life we lead.”

Figures who appear in the series include Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Gloria Steinem and Greta Thunberg.

New Zealand’s Prime Minister Jacinda Adern and Bryan Stevenson are also set to appear.

Netflix shared a teaser with the tagline: “Their voices give us hope.

“Their actions shape our world. Their leadership inspires our future.”

Live to Lead airs on Netflix on December 31.
