Good Morning Britain's weather forecaster Alex Beresford was forced to deny accusations from presenter Ranvir Singh after she accused him of buying his own Valentine's Day card.

During Tuesday morning's show (February 14), GMB host Ranvir discussed whether it was appropriate to send work colleagues cards on the annual romantic day of love.

But while Ranvir agreed that it may not be a good idea, she quickly told her co-host Ed Balls that Alex decided to purchase is own card.

Stopping her in her tracks, Alex was quick to deny the claims as he pointed the finger at the presenters who he believed may have put the card on his desk.

But without haste, Ed told the weatherman that it definitely was not him.

Following on from this, the presenters discussed in depth whether gifting someone at work on Valentine's Day was a good idea.

Relationship and sex expert Emiliana Silvestri and relationship expert Fahima Mohammed joined the hosts in the studio to debate whether flirting in the office was acceptable.

But with Emiliana suggesting and finding a connection at work was a good thing, Fahima offered an opposing view and said it should never be ok.

As the two ladies got heated in the studio, fans online took to Twitter to share their views on the situation too.

One viewer wrote: "Lol. Sick of everyone trying to cancel stuff. This debate is ridiculous. One woman is offended by receiving valentine's cards. Get a grip. Urgh I hate people at the moment."

Another said: "Literally the earth is being blown up, visited by aliens and falling out its own a** and were here arguing about sending valentines cards , what a f****ng weird time we live in."
