Hardcore Pawn star claims what ‘really happened’ to employee Rich Pyle

Hardcore Pawn finished airing on TV back in 2015, but a whole new generation of viewers is tuning into the explosive reality series through viral clips on TikTok. One familiar face is show star and store manager Rich Pyle, with many fans wondering what exactly happened to the employee.

Known for his spiked-up hair and heated rows with Ashley, Rich no longer works at American Jewlery and Loan – which is still trading to date.

Seth and Les continue to operate the iconic pawn shop located on Detroit’s eight-mile, while Ashley has since left to launch her own business.

Hardcore Pawn wrapped almost 10 years ago, so it’s no wonder fans are looking to find out what has happened to the show’s stars since.

Former employee Bobby Janiec, who previously caught up with Express.co.uk about all-things Hardcore Pawn, spilled more on Rich’s situation.

Taking to his TikTok page, Bobby claimed that Rich was “put on probation” before he was ultimately “let go by Les and Seth”.

He said there was a “bizarre” situation before an explosive “grand finale” which led to his removal from the famous family’s pawn shop.

Bobby explained: “When I got hired, me and Rich hit it off the bat immediately, he was one of my many bosses but we had the same sense of humour.

“Rich’s job as a store manager was to be at that layaway window, helping and cashing us out when we were working throughout the day.”

Bobby added: “This dude was super good at what he did, he definitely had his place, he knew music, he knew instruments and he was great with people.”

He claimed: “From what I saw, TV started to become more important than the job.

“There were times like you saw on episodes where he would be out on the floor, taking pictures with people or walking around with a cup of coffee, not where he should have been.

“So he had some instances that kind of put him on probation. So when that happened the show started using me more in scenes.”

Bobby said: “He started messing up and I started getting used more without him. Things got weird between me and him.”

“His wife started going on these posts and talking s*** about me,” he alleged.

“Les and Seth had to step in and put an end to it, it was really bizarre and then him and I were never the same after that.”

One show scene saw Rich lose the store money after letting someone walk away with a piece of valuable gold jewellery.

Bobby claimed: “That deal with the 18-carat gold that you guys saw when he let that piece walk, that was one of the final things that led up to him getting let go.

“But there was also a grand finale that no one knows about and that is not my story to tell at all.

“So that’s why I always say he sailed his own ship.”

Express.co.uk has contacted Rich’s representatives for comment.
