Heartbreaking tributes as First Dates Ireland star and RTE presenter Jordan Dunbar dies aged 29 | The Sun

TRIBUTES have poured in after the sudden death of First Dates Ireland star Jordan Dunbar at the age of 29.

The Dublin star was among the first daters to appear on the hit series back in 2017 and went on to present RTE show My Yellow Brick Road in 2019.


The telly favourite had also worked in several hair salons across the capital.

Tributes flooded in online after Donaghmede native Jordan's death was announced.

His devastated family confirmed funeral plans will be finalised on Thursday.

They said: "He is predeceased by his loving mam Sharon and uncle Michael.

"He will be sadly missed by his loving dad Albert and Albert's brother and sisters, aunt Michelle, cousin Craig, his second family Gerry, Leeanne and Maria Nolan, his close friends Geena and Megan, relatives and a large circle of friends.

"May Jordan Rest In Peace."

RTE2 bosses said: "We are very sad to hear of the death of Jordan Dunbar. Jordan featured on First Dates Ireland and was also a presenter on the series My Yellow Brick Road.

"A wonderful talent, gone far too young. Our deepest sympathies to his loved ones."

Chiefs at TV production company COCO Content who make First Dates said: "Our hearts our broken with the death of Jordan Dunbar, such a talented and beautiful person.

"We first met him on First Dates and he went on to present My Yellow Brick Road on RTE. He was a joy to work with and it was a privilege to know him. Deepest sympathy to all who loved him."

PALS DEVASTATED

The team behind My Yellow Brick Road added: "It’s with a very heavy heart that we learned of the passing of our dear friend Jordan Dunbar, (or in his words StunBar).

"Jordan was full of life, love and fun and we would like to remember those happy days and celebrate his life.

"Our sincere sympathy to Jordan’s family and close friends of which there are many. May he rest in Peace.

"My Yellow Brick Road was about sharing life experiences and empowering each other along life’s journey, help is always at hand so please reach out and talk, there is always light at the end of the tunnel."

Another pal said: "Really saddened to hear that an old friend from Dublin, Jordan Dunbar (or Stunbar, as he’s gone by for the better part of a decade) has passed away.

"Truly a fantastic and lovely human being who will be sorely missed."

One more wrote: "Heartbreaking to hear the news of Jordan Dunbar, he was a beautiful person within the LGBT community. May his soul rest in peace."

Another said: "Tonight we hear the sad news of my friend Jordan Stunbar (Jordan Dunbar) passed away, always had something lovely to say when we saw each other. A young LGBT man who had a passion for style and hairdressing.
