Sharing advice to the Love Islanders, Maya commented, "When they lock themselves up right away, I’m like, 'No, you’ve got so much time, know everybody'.

Maya admitted that if she herself was competing, she'd hold out on committing to anyone too soon, commenting, “Me, personally, I wouldn’t lock down with somebody on the first day.

"I would keep my options open.”

The presenter has also confided that she hopes the contestants see her as more than just a host.

Maya revealed that she wants to be reviewed as a supportive big sister, and has practised learning Gen Z lingo to keep up with the younger contestants.

The presenter said: “I think I’m quite down with the kids. Most of the time I understand.

Recently, Maya shared a hilarious video of her attempting to speak Spanish whilst visiting Marbella, captioning the video "God loves a trier", whilst her friends shake their head in shame.

Maya recently admitted she's feeling the pressure of the upcoming series, commenting: "It feels so exciting, I was full of nerves for my first series because I was wondering what it would be like…

""Now there’s a bit more of an expectation, I just want to make sure that I live up to that expectation again.

"The pressure is on for my stylist because the dresses did very well last series!"

"We haven’t decided yet, but I’ve said that I want to look beachy, sexy and fun. I’d say 'Ibiza summer' is the vibe I’m going for."
