The Good Doctor season six premiere was filled with drama as Dr Audrey Lim’s (played by Christina Chang) colleagues came to her rescue after being stabbed at the hospital. Episode three is going to delve further into the aftermath as Lim isn’t happy with the outcome of her surgery. There is still plenty of work to be done in the ABC medical drama though as more patients arrive in need of their help.

Who guest stars in The Good Doctor season 6 episode 3?
The Good Doctor’s A Big Sign will welcome a famous marriage counsellor into Bonaventure Hospital who injures her ankle after a fall.
While her name hasn’t been revealed, the promo teases that Dr Shaun Murphy (Freddie Highmore) may be in need of her help.
The teaser begins with Shaun asking his divorced colleagues, including Lim and Dr Aaron Glassman (Richard Schiff) about why their marriages failed.
So as he comes into close contact with an expert, he is bound to ask numerous questions about making married life work.
The marriage counsellor will be portrayed by actress April Grace who played transporter chief Maggie Hubbell in seasons four and five of Star Trek: The Next Generation and Deep Space Nine.
She has also had roles in Chicago Hope, The Beast, Joan of Arcadia, The Nine, Sons of Anarchy, How to Get Away with Murder, The Incredible Life of Darrell and Insecure.
In terms of what’s coming up, Grace has got a few projects in the pipeline.
One of which is a movie entitled Transplant where she will play Dr Scarlett Marks.
The synopsis teases that Grace’s character is going to have more than an ankle injury to contend with when she visits the hospital.
It reads: “The team treats a famous marriage counsellor after she injured her ankle from falling.
“But when she offers relationship advice to them, Dr Morgan Reznick quickly spots that their patient might be experiencing something far more serious.”
This won’t be the only plot that episode three is going to focus on though.

Lim had to have surgery in the previous episode following the attack at the end of series five.
Unfortunately, under Shaun’s guidance, she was left paralysed as it was the only way he was able to save her life.
She is anything but happy about the situation and sets off her own internal investigation into what happened.
Executive producer David Shore previously revealed what fans can expect from season six.
He told TV Line: “The first episode has a huge amount of intensity and fun, but it’s difficult because it’s the immediate fallout [from the finale].”
“Lim’s journey is going to be a big part of it, we have some nice things planned for Glassman, and, of course, nothing but wedded bliss for Shaun and Lea.”
With episode three about to air, there’s still plenty more to come from the sixth outing.
The Good Doctor continues every Monday on ABC in the USA. A UK release date hasn’t been announced.
