Holly and Phillip missing from This Morning promo

Alison Hammond confirms Holly Willoughby This Morning return

This Morning presenters Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield are the face of the ITV talk show and often appear in all the promo trailers affiliated.

However, eagle-eyed viewers noticed the pair had been edited out of the trailer for the popular segment of 12 At 12.

Friday morning’s hosts Dermot O’Leary and Alison Hammond let viewers know what’s coming up in next week’s shows which included the 12 At 12 competition.

The competition saw the two hosts helping viewers win up to £12,000, with Dermot encouraging them to enter to secure their place.

Holly and Phil are usually featured in a trailer, but this time they were noticeably absent, with viewers noticing the change.

Reporting the change on their Twitter accounts, user @TaylorInsend penned: “Was it just me or was that trailer different to normal?”

Jane Vallows commented: “ITV fuelling the tension by taking Holly and Phil out of the 12 At 12 trailer!”

@MrsGranBan said: “12 At 12 hosted by Holly and Phil next week yet they weren’t in the trailer? Hmm we’ll see.” (sic)

Fans have also spotted that Holly has changed her Twitter bio, which used to read: “I was introduced to this by a Twitter legend,” with Phil’s account linked.

It now reads: “Broadcaster. Founder of Wyldemoon. Brand ambassador for Marks & Spencer and Garnier. Author of ‘Reflections.”

One user noticed: “Didn’t Holly’s Twitter bio say something about being introduced to Twitter by ‘a legend’ (ie Phil), now it’s not there…#nosmokewithoutfire.”

@MostlyStupid said: “Loads of newspaper reports overnight that they’ve both fallen out and don’t talk anymore. Holly’s also removed the mention of Phil from her Twitter bio #ThisMorning”

Express.co.uk has contacted ITV for a comment.

Phillip released a statement on Thursday evening about the rumours which read: “As I have said before, Holly is my rock.

“We’re the best of friends — as always, she is an incredible support on screen, behind the scenes and on the phone.

“Holly has always been there for me, through thick and thin. And I’ve been there for her. The last few weeks haven’t been easy for either of us.

“And Holly’s support throughout meant the world to me, as did the support of my bosses at ITV, my editor Martin Frizell and the whole This Morning family, including our amazing viewers.

“And of course, Holly has herself been ill with shingles.”

This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV.
