Holly Willoughby’s This Morning statement

Holly Willoughby hosted This Morning alongside Phillip Schofield for more than a decade, but Phillip stepped down from the role last month after admitting he’d “lied” to Holly and the team.

Phillip, 61, admitted to having an affair with a much younger male colleague who reportedly worked as a runner on This Morning.

An exhausted-looking Phillip said in a recent BBC interview with journalist Amol Rajan he felt like his career was “over”.

It is understood Holly will not address Phillip publicly again in the wake of his ITV exit.

A replacement for Phillip is yet to be announced by ITV bosses but Craig Doyle and Josie Gibson stepped in to present alongside Holly last week.

This Morning airs on weekdays at 10am on ITV and ITVX.
