Hollyoaks star Ali Bastian rushes children to hospital in two terrifying ordeals | The Sun

HOLLYOAKS star Ali Bastian has revealed he had to rush his children to hospital in two terrifying ordeals.

The actress – who is best known for playing Becca Dean in the Channel 4 soap – took to Instagram to reveal the hospital dash.

Ali, 41, who was written out of the soap in 2007, welcomed her second child earlier this year with her husband David O'Mahoney.

But just months after the birth, the TV star – who was already mum to Isla, three – revealed both her children had visited the hospital.

The actress took to Instagram to post a snap of her husband cuddling their eldest daughter as they sat in a children's ward.

She said: "Massive thank you to the staff of Kingston Hospital for taking the most amazing care of Isla yesterday.

"Having never had asthma before she had a viral induced asthma attack. (Not a huge surprise though with our family history and her history of allergy).

"It was an utter rollercoaster of a day but finally settled and thankfully able to come home last night.

"Just need to tell my nervous system know that she is safe and home as I still feeling on the ceiling. She was so, so brave but went through a lot. We need a seriously cuddly day today."

Ali also revealed her three-month-old baby Isabella was rushed to hospital with respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) a few weeks ago.

The worried mum added: "Had the littlest in hospital with RSV a few weeks ago. Little people eh?"

Giving her fans a follow-up, Ali posted a snap of her second baby as she slept soundly on her lap – looking to be making a recovery.

She penned to her concerned fans: "Thank you so much for all your kind messages, honestly means so much.

"Isla is getting there slowly. Can't believe how many families are dealing with these same viral wheezes.

"Thank you all for sharing your stories with me, makes us feel so much less alone. I honestly didn't know this was a thing.

"She's been very good at taking her inhalers. David and I are just trying to get to grips with the treatment plan and trying to find a bag big enough to carry EpiPens, antihistamine, inhales and a spacer."

It comes after Ali revealed her secret heartache after her best friend died just weeks after her baby girl was born.

She took to her Instagram Stories to post a pair of sweet pictures with her smiling pal and a trigger warning for grief.

"My little one will be 12 weeks this Saturday. The End of the fourth trimester – the end of a period that has been one of the toughest of my life," Ali penned.

"A week after she was born, I lost one of my oldest and closest friends. Trying to process this enormous loss whilst walking the hormonal tightrope of my postpartum period has been and remains to be incredibly intense.

"I’ve taken to having long showers so I can cry and let it all out so that I can then return to parenting a little lighter.

"Knowing that such life changing events happening in such close succession could leave my mental health sailing incredibly close to the wind has meant I’ve had to seek help wherever I could find it."
