How Pique's girlfriend Clara Chia Marti is morphing into Shakira – with glam makeover and pop star diva-style strops | The Sun
WHEN your boyfriend’s ex is one of the most famous women on the planet, it’s going to be hard not to compete.
And it seems like that is happening for Gerard Pique’s new girlfriend Clara Chia Marti, who’s looking more and more like Shakira – the Barcelona footballer's partner for 12 years before their split in June last year.
Despite looking rather different with brunette hair when she was first linked to Pique, 36, 24-year-old PR student Clara – who was always a fan of the Hips Don’t Lie singer – is now sporting blonde wavy locks, just like 46-year-old Shakira’s trademark hair.
She’s even been throwing diva-like tantrums worthy of a pop superstar – while Shakira has fled Barcelona with her and Pique’s sons, Milan, 10, and eight-year-old Sasha, for Miami.

Glam makeover
Pique was first rumoured to be dating Clara in August last year, just two months after splitting up with Shakira.
They met through his events production company, Kosmos, and she had even been spotted serving as a waitress for a party that the company once hosted. Sources claimed they’d been dating for some time.
A source close to Clara told The Sun: “Gerard and Clara have been seeing each other for months.
“She is a student who also works for him in his office, organising events.
“They have been keeping quiet about their relationship but those around them all know what is happening.

“People have been helping him keep the romance hush-hush and have wiped Clara’s social media accounts so people can’t find photos of her. That alone makes his mates think he is actually quite serious about being with her.”
The first pictures of them together showed her with brown hair tied up, wearing little to no make-up on.
They were then together at a wedding, and Clara had dyed her hair blonde to match Shakira’s, but it looked very matted, and she still chose a bare-faced look.
However, new pictures on Instagram have shown her with glam, luscious locks, worthy of a pop star photoshoot – and there’s no denying her hair is similar to Shakira’s trademark locks.
Diva strop
It’s not just her looks that are becoming more pop diva-like, her attitude seemingly is too.
At the Kings League final last week, Pique got people talking about more than just the game.
Firstly, many were surprised to see Clara at Camp Nou, in Barcelona, as Pique’s children with Shakira were also there.
While she never actually did come into contact with Milan and Sasha, a video of her shouting at journalist Gerard Romero on live TV, after the game went viral.
While Romero explains something to the cameras, as part of an interview in the lobby area, Clara comes storming in and is evidently not happy.
She yells at Romero: “You have not answered WhatsApp."
He replies, “At what time?”
Shakira fan
It wouldn’t be too surprising if Clara was purposely making herself look like Shakira, as she’s been a fan of hers for a while.
When the two met at Kosmos, Clara asked her for a picture together.
According to Spanish magazine SEMANA, she said she was a fan of her music and felt a deep admiration for her.
But the same publication claims there’d already been a “spark” between Clara and Pique at this point.
‘Traded Rolex for Casio’
It’s clear Shakira agrees Pique has gone for a lesser version of herself, if her scathing diss track is anything to go by.
Earlier this year, she released a track with multiple references to Pique and Clara.
She belts out: “I’m worth two 22's. You traded a Ferrari for a Twingo. You traded a Rolex for a Casio.”
In another track, she sings: "No hard feelings baby, I wish you the best with my supposed replacement."

Pique was asked on Barcelona’s RAC1 radio station if he had heard the song.
“Yes, obviously. I don't want to talk about it,” he replied.
