I’m A Celeb star says ‘most entertaining stars never win show’ in Jill Scott dig

I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!'s Nicola McLean says the ITV series winners are never "the most entertaining".

When asked if worthy winners usually take the crown during her Daily Star column chat, Nicola said: "Hmm, I don't know… But I don't think any of the winners are ever really the most entertaining people.

"Yeah they are nice people and obviously get the most votes, but…

"I bet you Jill Scott will win because of the whole Lionness thing and don't get me wrong she seems really nice, but entertaining? I don't know…

"I think she will win but usually the people who I would want to win never do.

"But I prefer the different and wild kind of reality TV persona and now I'm not sure ITV even wants that anymore if you go by who they had booked this year.

"I'd love to speak to the bookers and find out their thought process behind their decisions this year as they really haven't nailed it in my opinion."

Nicola, 41, came in sixth place during her time in the jungle in 2008, with EastEnders star Joe Swash taking the crown that year.

Nicola also took to her Instagram before the final to predict who she thought would take the crown – with her hoping for Owen Warner, who came in second place.

The former Page 3 icon revealed that she didn't mind either outcome as long as Matt Hancock was forced out first.

She slated him on social media and asked her followers not to forget all of the "f*** ups" he made during the height of lockdown.

In the end, Jill took the top spot, with Owen second and Matt coming in third place.

Before the England footballer was announced as the winner last night (Sunday, November 28), ITV viewers demanded a rule change.

As hosts Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly chatted to the final two, fans took to Twitter to beg producers for a joint winner instead.

One said: "Can we just call it a joint win cuz I could never decide."

"Can we not have joint winners!!" added a second.

A third penned: "LOVE JILL & OWEN SO MUCH CAN THEY JUST BE JOINT WINNERS."
