Instagram restricts and removes content from Kanye West's account

Instagram has restricted Kanye West’s account and deleted some of his content after he published an anti-semitic post.

In one of his latest rants, which has since been taken down, the rapper suggested Sean Combs, known as P Diddy, was being controlled by Jews.

The American Jewish Committee on Instagram labelled Ye’s behaviour ‘dangerous’ on the social media site, highlighting that his anti-Jewish post had been shared with his millions of followers.

In a statement, Meta, which owns Instagram, confirmed they had ‘deleted content from @kanyewest for violating our policies and placed a restriction on the account.’

However, the spokesperson did not specify which posts had been removed from West’s feed or what the restriction entails.

They continued in an email to The Independent: ‘We may place restrictions on accounts that repeatedly break our rules, for example, we may temporarily restrict them from posting, commenting, or sending DM.’

West has been picking fights with stars ranging from Gigi Hadid to Supreme New York’s creative director Tremaine Emory following backlash for his Yeezy fashion show.

At the event on Monday (October 3), the Stronger singer caused widespread anger by wearing a ‘White Lives Matter’ t-shirt, with the likes of Jodie Turner-Smith calling him ’embarrassing.’

After being condemned for his ‘White Lives Matter’ stunt, the God’s Plan performer called the Black Lives Matter movement a ‘scam’ on Instagram.

As well as lashing out at famous faces who have called out his ‘White Lives Matter’ stunt, West has also come to blows with Khloe Kardashian, sister of his estranged wife Kim.

On social media, the Good American founder begged West to stop attacking the reality TV star, with whom he shares children North, Saint, Chicago and Psalm.

The musician has previously aired complaints online that he is not being allowed to make major parenting decisions and has been excluded from birthday parties and other events for their children, which the Skims CEO said had caused her ‘emotional distress’.

Exasperated, Khloe asked West to ‘stop tearing Kim down’ so their kids can be ‘raised peacefully,’ adding that her response came from ‘a place of love’ and she was happy to continue the conversation ‘privately if you wish.’

However, fuming at the post, West unleashed a furious tirade against The Kardashians star in a new Instagram post, branding her a ‘liar’.
