Jeremy Vine viewers 'switch off' as panelists hit with vicious backlash | The Sun

FANS of Jeremy Vine’s self-titled show were rushing to switch off the TV screens over with the choice of panelists seriously falling flat.

The Channel 5 show often prompts viewers to get talking about one if its hard-hitting issues but it wasn’t the topics that were being discussed that got everyone talking – it was the people discussing them.

Appearing on the show were journalist and presenter Dawn Neesom alongside radio presenter Mike Parry and podcaster Marina Purkiss.

One disgruntled viewer threatened to ‘switch off’ as they exclaimed: “Time to switch off @JeremyVineOn5 Neeson & Parry. No thanks #Vine #JeremyVine”

Another viewer was also left seriously unimpressed by the choice of guests as they fumed: “#jeremyvine Had enough of the verbose finger waving Marina. Signing off.”

Whilst a third raged on, adding: “Mike Parry gives my heart palpitations by raising my blood pressure. He also boils my p***. #jeremyvine”

It’s the latest fallout from the show this week with viewers ripping  into an 'out of touch' debate on the cost of living crisis – raging the show is 'too sad to watch'.

With small businesses struggling and families fearing they won't be able to heat their homes over winter or afford food, Jeremy and his panellists discussed what was going on and what could be done.

However, some watching at home felt like the tone of the debate was wrong, with one sharing a picture of a cartoon dog sitting in among a fire with the words 'This is fine' above him and tweeted: "#TsunamiOfPoverty #JeremyVine."
