Katy Perry Channels Elastigirl to Celebrate Disney Night on American Idol

In the Disney Night outing of the long-running singing competition show, the judge steps out wearing the iconic red-and-black family superhero costume from ‘The Incredibles’.

AceShowbiz –Katy Perry turned into Elastigirl in a new episode of “American Idol“. In the Disney Night outing, which aired on Sunday, May 14, the judge stepped out wearing the iconic red-and-black family superhero costume from “The Incredibles“.

Further completing her transformation, the “Fireworks” singer donned a red wig with retro 1960s style to get into character as Mrs. Incredible. She also sported a black eye mask.

Katy’s incredible costume wasn’t the only highlight in the Disney Night episode of the long-running singing competition show. It additionally featured Halle Bailey‘s performance of “Part of Your World” from “The Little Mermaid (2023)“, her upcoming live-action adaptation of Disney’s 1989 animated flick.

For her performance, the Ariel depicter gave mermaid vibes in a strapless blue dress. The gown cinched around her waist and poofed out at the bottom into a stunning skirt while also featuring train and a giant bow at the back. Halle accessorized herself with diamond necklace earrings, while styling her curly hair into a half ponytail.

In the episode, the show’s Top 5, Iam Tongi, Colin Stough, Megan Danielle, Zachariah Smith and We Ani, hit the stage to sing Disney classics. We Ani kicked off the night with a performance of “Into The Unknown” from “Frozen II“.

Zachariah followed it up with a fun rendition of “I Just Can’t Wait to Be King” from “The Lion King“. As for Colin, he opted to sing “Real Gone” from “Cars“. Megan was up next, belting out “You Can’t Stop the Girl” from “Maleficent: Mistress of Evil” with Iam delivering a show-stopping performance of “Lava“.

Host Ryan Seacrest eventually announced that the three singers being sent to the Finals were Colin, Megan and Iam. Unfortunately, We and Zachariah were eliminated.
