Kids TV channel under fire for programme reschedule as it airs Queens funeral
People have been left baffled as kids television channel CITV completely axed its regular schedule and will air the Queen's funeral.
The channel which frequently entertains youngsters is just one of several channels broadcasting the historic event which will see billions of mourners across the globe pay tribute to the late Queen.
But the decision hasn't gone down well online, with many questioning why the children's channel has made this decision.
One Twitter user said: "I'm not sure why the children’s channel CITV are showing the Queen's funeral. Surely, children's programmes would have been the right choice."
A second added: "I agree. Children’s channels should offer an alternative to young children."
"Normal programming should have continued on all other ITV channels," commented a third.
The network had previously announced that it would be showing the funeral of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II across all of its digital channels.
