Kim's huge shock as she finally discovers Jamie is alive in Emmerdale

Since Jamie Tate’s (Alex Lincoln) disappearance in 2021, it’s been a countdown until his mother Kim (Claire King) discovered the truth. There have been some near misses, but his secret has remained intact until his own murderous intentions get him caught out.

Kim is initially annoyed when Hazel (Kate Anthony) doesn’t show up with Millie (Willow Belle), but her annoyance turns to shock when she learns Hazel has been in an accident. She heads to the hospital for answers where she discovers it was no accident, and the ultimate bombshell is finally dropped – not only is Jamie alive, he pushed Hazel down the stairs. Evil Jamie is back.

Finally, confirmation and vindication for Kim after having the question hanging over her ever since Jamie disappeared. Hazel is terrified when Kim demands to know exactly what’s been going on. She clues Kim in on Jamie’s cosy life with her and Millie, prompting Kim to go straight to the police and report him for attempted murder.

Kim is furious over the situation and vows to take Millie with her to remove her from harm’s way.

The rest of Kim’s clan is just as shocked to learn what they suspected; that Jamie didn’t in fact snuff it in the accident and has been living and breathing in a hidden location ever since.

Millie struggles to adjust in her new home and everything becomes too much for Kim. Flying into a rage, she destroys the Home Farm living room.

The next day the police arrive and hand Kim the unequivocal proof that Jamie has pulled a fast one and is still very much alive. Knowing Kim’s penchant for revenge, Jamie has got something huge coming his way.

But is he ready for whatever his mum has to throw at him?
