Laura Whitmore’s acting career is getting a boost thanks to her hubby Iain Stirling, 34.
The 37-year-old star has been given a role in the new series of his sitcom Buffering.
We’ll see her join the cast as tough TV exec Vic in her biggest acting job yet.

An insider said: "Laura is a massive fan of Buffering, so she was really excited to join the cast. And getting to work with Iain was a dream come true for her."
Iain created Buffering in 2021 alongside pal Steve Bugeja.
The comic also stars in the show as a hapless children’s TV presenter.
This series will include more hilarious plots about life as a young adult.
The insider said: "Whether it’s throwing house parties, job hunting, dating, visiting the countryside, putting on pub quizzes or just figuring out their true feelings for each other, the gang will always have each other when, inevitably, things don’t go as planned."
Laura quit as the presenter of ITV's Love Island in August.
The Dublin-born 37-year-old had hosted the hit ITV2 dating show since 2020, when she took over the role from her late friend Caroline Flack who sadly passed away earlier that year.
She said that she had decided to leave the programme as she found parts of the job "very difficult" and admitted she struggled with "certain elements" of the show's format that couldn't be changed, such as having to fly back and forth to South Africa to film the show.
Laura announced her departure in an Instagram post that she concluded with a sweet message addressed to her late pal Caroline, who tragically died from suicide in February 2020.
She wrote: "I hope I did you proud Caroline."
Laura married Love Island narrator and Scottish comedian Iain in a humanist wedding during 2020.
The couple's daughter Stevie Re was born in 2021.

Guest stars on the new series of Buffering will include DJ Melvin Odoom, Love Island’s Tyne-Lexy Clarson and After Life star Tony Way.
And Emily Atack will be back for another stint on the show.
The new series starts later this month on ITV2.
Love Island 2023, meanwhile, will start on Monday – also on ITV2 – and will be hosted by Laura's successor as presenter Maya Jama.
