Love Island fans claim producer interference after Jess argument

Jess and Catherine clash in Love Island teaser

During Thursday evening’s episode of Love Island, an argument ensued with Jess Harding, Catherine Agbaje and Whitney Adebayo.

Earlier on in the day, the Islanders took part in a challenge where Jess Harding named Tyrique Hyde as the most two-faced Islander.

Whilst sitting next to Molly Marsh, Jess whispered to Mitchel Taylor she was going to choose Molly, but didn’t want to be mean.

Later in the evening, Catherine and Whitney confronted Jess over the whispering and asked her calmly to cut it out.

However, Jess exploded and ended up walking away from the girls, while crying and explaining she didn’t want to be painted as the mean girl.

Viewers of the ITV2 reality show were left confused with the argument and claimed that producers had interfered with the editing, or the islanders, as nothing made sense.

@patriotpaulat commented: “The producers must’ve seen everyone coming at Jess for being a “bully” so they made Catherine & Whitney have a chat with her because that convo came from NOWHERE? #loveIsland.”

@KamiaTee added: “We all feel like we missed something because we did… the producers #LoveIsland.”

@wdymjodie1 agreed: “The producers are going to try and make Jess a villain now to make Molly liked #LoveIslandUK #LoveIsland.”

@KlMSOOMIN penned: “I think some sort of producer stunt got pulled cause why were all of the girls at Molly’s THROAT just yesterday but suddenly it’s fuck Jess? #loveisland.”

@PassionFruitDL quipped: “But what was the need of that conversation with Jess? Like where did it come from? Sounds like the producers…so fake and odd #LoveIsland.”

@girliamgagging said: “The producers saw the hate towards Molly and sent Whitney and Catherine in to try and diffuse the situation because they’re fan favourites I can guarantee it #LoveIsland.”

@isthatdejavuu expressed: “My theory is producers are stirring up drama between the girls to cause sympathy points for Molly DONT LOSE SIGHT OF WHO THE REAL VILLIAN IS #LoveIsland.”

@WARYONCE wrote: “I’m so sorry but the producers have deffo cut something out in this whole drama because it doesn’t make sense. #LoveIsland.” (sic)

Tonight the sixth bombshell, Scott Van Der Sluis, will enter the villa and leave the girls confused over who they want to couple up with.

Love Island airs weeknights and Sunday’s from 9pm on ITV2.
