The Love Island final date has been confirmed – and it's closer than you think.

The ninth series of the hit ITV2 dating show kicked off in mid January and fans have watched as this year's islanders searched for love in the South African villa.

But all good things must come to an end and it was presenter Maya Jama who confirmed when the final of the second winter series will take place.

Speaking on the official Love Island Twitter page, Maya announced the final will be on Monday March 13, less than two weeks from now.

The 28-year-old revealed: "Guys I have some very exciting news. The Love Island final is going to be on Monday 13 March. It's going to be major!"

Sporting a plunging red dress, the brunette beauty announced the news from outside the villa as she stood in front of the infamous pink heart.

The ITV2 host is set to enter the villa during tonight's episode with news of the latest dumping.

In typical fashion, the radio DJ looked every bit the bombshell as she strutted her stuff in the stunning ensemble that showcased her killer figure.

The racy dress boasted frilly details across her chest and around her neck in the shape of a rose, as well as a high cut which exposed her enviably toned legs.

Maya will deliver news of the dumping at the Beach Club where the islanders will be enjoying a lavish sun-soaked party.

In a sneak peek of the episode, the presenter appears on the balcony and says: "You all look like you’re having a cute little time, sorry to crash the party, could you all line up in your couples please.”

The Islanders proceed to line up before Maya reveals which couples received the fewest votes and could be dumped from the island tonight.

She explained: “I’m sure you’re all asking yourselves why I’m here, I’ve got some very important news. The public have been voting for the most compatible couple. The couples with the fewest votes risk being dumped from the Island tonight."
