Love Island stats reveal Kai and Sanams landslide win – but one couple got just 2% of the vote

Love Island has released the voting stats for the 2023 winter series final, where Kai Fagan and Sanam Harrinanan were announced the winners.

ITV has revealed that Kai, 24, and Sanam, 24, won the vote by a landslide 44%, securing 343,241 (43.75%).

Ron Hall and Lana Jenkins, who finished in second place, secured 30% of the vote with 235,996 (30.08%).

Tom Clare and Samie Elishi, who finished in third place, secured 24% of the vote with 185,572 (23.65%).

While Shaq Muhammad and Tanya Manhenga, who finished in fourth place, secured just 2% of the vote with 19,753 (2.52%).

It comes as Monday night's final saw Kai and Sanam win the 2023 winter series, winning a staggering £50,000.

Sanam was left speechless, as she admitted: "Oh my God, I can't believe it, I'm still shocked to be here!"

Prior to the results, Maya sat down with each couple to discuss their time in the villa and being in the final.

To which Sanam sweetly dropped the L-bomb, revealing that she was in love with Kai – leaving Maya, as well as fans at home, giddy with excitement.

Sanam said: "For me, it was always Kai, I always said he was my number one. Obviously he's a very attractive guy, but apart from the looks, I fell in love with…" to which she screamed and covered her mouth over dropping the L-bomb, leaving the audience screaming in excitement.

Viewers were left delighted over Kai and Sanam winning the winter 2023 series as they took to Twitter to share their thoughts.

One person said: "Kai & Sanam are such a beautiful couple my heart is so full #loveisland #loveislanduk."

A different account put: "I am so happy Kai and Sanam won. They were worthy winners x #loveisland."

Another follower wrote: "Kai and Sanam are definitely one of my favourite LI winners of all time. Never felt so happy for a couple. #loveisland."

While a different viewer added: "YASSS IM SO HAPPY KAI AND SANAM WON!! My babies, my winners, I love them so much!" with heart emojis.
