Love Island's Tasha Ghouri shows off new hairstyle as she reveals she 'still struggles' with speech due to deafness | The Sun

LOVE Island star Tasha Ghouri revealed she "still struggles" with her speech as she opened up on her deafness on today's Good Morning Britain.

The 2022 show star, 23, has often branded her disability as her "superpower" and has been working closely with the National Deaf Children's Society to raise awareness.

Tasha, who was born deaf, has been passionate about flagging the deaf community even since before her time in the Love Island villa.

She is now campaigning to highlight the experience of deaf children in schools.

Tasha told the ITV programme how she had her cochlear implant fitted aged five and said: "The journey hasn't been easy.

"It has been a very long journey but I have been lucky enough to have had great support around me."

She then opened up on how her deafness still impacts her and admitted: "Even to this day now I still struggle with my speech a little bit.

"I think it just comes with being deaf really – everyone's experiences are so different.

"The deaf community is so big and I don't think people understand how big it is."
