Nineties pop star becomes a dad for the first time at 46 as chart-topping singer reveals in post | The Sun

A1 star Christian Ingebrigsten has become a father for the first time at 46.

The chart-topping singer – who became famous in the 90s – is the proud dad to a baby girl.




His partner Martine gave birth in the early hours of this morning.

Sharing the couple's happy news, Christian posted a sweet snap of his new arrival.

The 46-year-old told his Instagram followers: “01:36 this morning we became parents to the most beautiful little girl.

"All is well with the three of us, and we feel so blessed and happy.”

Christian’s army of followers – including his bandmates were all quick to congratulate him on the joyous news.

A message shared on the band’s official account wrote: “Congratulations @christian_ingebrigsten and @mdoenheim.”

News of Christian’s new arrival came as a surprise to fans after he and Martine hadn’t previously mentioned they were set to become parents. 

Christian shot to fame in the late 90s alongside fellow a1 band members Ben Adams, Mark Read and Paul Marazzi.

The band went on to land a string of No 1 hit singles.

In 2002, band member Paul quit to focus on his health.

The band then reformed seven years later without Paul and took part in ITV2’s The Big Reunion series.

Paul then rejoined them in 2018 and the band have since played a string of sold out gigs across the globe.
