Piers Morgan brands Eurovision ‘stain on humanity’ in clash with Sharon Osbourne

Piers Morgan and Louis Walsh clash over Eurovision

Piers Morgan invited Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh onto his TalkTV show to chat about Eurovision 2023, which will be held on Saturday night.

However, Piers wasted no time in sharing his thoughts, telling Sharon Osbourne: “I am not surprised you like this c**p.”

Before turning to Louis and Sharon, the former Good Morning Britain host ranted: “Eurovision returns to the UK after a 25-year absence, it’s supposed to be of course in Ukraine, who won it last year but obviously, they can’t host it.

“So, Liverpool has the dubious honour of being the host city and that’s fine. Everyone I know seems to be widely excited about it apart from me.”

“I think Eurovision is a stain on humanity,” he added which led Sharon to brand him “ridiculous”.

Piers asked Louis, who was a judge on The X Factor, what he thought about the competition.

“I think it is brilliant fun and I watch it every single year,” Louis explained.

“There are some really good songs…you just played all the bad ones.

“ABBA came from it, Johnny Logan, Celine Dion…so many good ones.”

“It is light entertainment at its best, Piers and you might not like it but I love it,” he continued.

However, things turned a tad heated when Piers asked Sharon her views.

He pointed out Sharon would always put the “nutty” acts through when they worked together on America’s Got Talent.

“You love this c**p,” Piers raged as Sharon hit back: “I do, I do, it is not c**p. It’s cultural.”

“It is not cultural,” Piers shouted as his co-star added: “It’s very interesting to see all these different cultures and what they consider to be entertainment.”

Piers went on to detail another reason he didn’t like Eurovision, he told his guests: “The worst thing about it, I’m gonna say this as somebody who went to Ukraine to interview President Zelensky with his wife.

“And I’ve obviously done a lot of stuff about the Ukraine war. I really didn’t like Ukraine winning it last year simply because the country is at war.

“And I’m sure they’re going to probably win it again this year for the same reason.”

Piers Morgan Uncensored airs weekdays from 8pm on TalkTV.
