Playboi Carti sparks concern after he falls BACKWARDS off stage in scary tumble during wild concert at Wire Festival | The Sun

PLAYBOI Carti has sparked concern after he was spotted falling backward off a stage in a scary tumble during a wild concert at the Wire Festival.

Videos of the performer's plummet have gone viral as fans were shocked the rapper was okay.

At the Wire Festival, Playboi Carti was giving his performance his all when a mishap happened on the stage.

The rapper was running backward as he was singing into his mic when he fell off the stage.

Playboi Carti must have misjudged the distance he had remaining on the stage, as he was caught up in the moment and rarely missed a beat after dropping straight off the edge.

The rapper bounced back up unharmed and continued performing, although the video quickly made its way to social media.

PLAYBOI PAST

Born Jordan Terrell Carter, the rapper and songwriter is known professionally as Playboi Carti.

He is recognized for his experimental musical style, gothic fashion, and mysterious public persona.

Born and raised in Atlanta, Playboi was initially signed to local underground label Awful Records prior to signing with ASAP Mob's AWGE Label under Interscope Records.

After gaining a cult following early in his career, he gained mainstream attention in 2017.

Playboi's debut mixtape was released in April 2017, and included the Billboard Hot 100 charting singles Magnolia and Woke Up Like This.

His debut studio album Die Lit (2018) peaked at number 3 on the US Billboard 200.

Following a two-year hiatus he released his highly anticipated second album Whole Lotta Red in 2020.

The LP debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 and became his first chart-topping release.

LOVE LIFE

The rapper also used to date Iggy Azalea.

Azalea and Carti split at the end of 2020 amid cheating rumors.

At the time of the split, the Australian rapper wrote on her Instagram stories about her breakup.

"You lost a real 1," she wrote. "… People take loyalty for granted & that's why I'd rather be alone. One thing I'll never understand is how liars live with themselves. That shit don't eat y'all up inside?"

Hours later she returned to her social media to clarify what she meant.

"What I mean last night was that I'm raising my son alone & I'm not in a relationship."

The former couple reportedly met in 2018 while Carti was on tour.

By the end of the year they were living together, Billboard reports.

In 2019 Carti opened up about his relationship with Azalea to The Fader.

"Once I started talking to her, I just cut off everybody," he said at the time.

Azalea welcomed her son with Carti in April of 2020, just months before their split.
