Rihanna in demand for Amazon documentary about her incredible 20-year career | The Sun

SHE is one of the world’s biggest music superstars – with over 60million records sold worldwide and 30 UK Top Ten chart hits including nine No1’s.

And now Rihanna is in demand from Amazon about a tell-all documentary about her life.

Insiders said the business giant was prepared to lay a huge sum of money down for the star to make the special, one-off film.

It comes as Rihanna prepares to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the moment she was discovered by US music producer Evan Rogers – who realised her potential back in 2003 – in her home country of Barbados

A source said: “Rihanna’s incredible music journey started back in 2003 when she recorded Pon De Replay as a demo.

“And what better way to celebrate her incredible 20 year career than with a one-off film about her life.

“Amazon have floated a huge amount of money to try and tempt Rihanna to get on board.

“Ultimately they would love for her to tell her story in a no-holds-barred documentary which would follow her journey from a Bajan schoolgirl to becoming one of the world’s greatest musicians.

“The invitation to create the film was also extended with the notion Rihanna could also be a producer and have control over the process.

“Netflix have done really well for themselves with their films about Taylor Swift and Pink, and Amazon want to get in on the act.”

There’s no denying Rihanna has an amazing story to tell.

As well as becoming a mum for the first time this spring with her boyfriend, rapper ASAP Rocky, last year she became an official billionaire thanks to the success of her beauty and lingerie range.

Fans clamouring to hear the follow up to her last album, Anti, in 2016, have also been promised new music is on the way.

She filmed a new music video last summer and told fans that she had been busy working on her next album.

Ri-Ri said before: “I am very aggressively working on music.

“I like to look at it as a reggae-inspired or reggae-infused album.

“Reggae always feels right to me. It’s in my blood. It’s always the same high.”
