Romeo destroys future with Rayne after shocking accusation in Hollyoaks
Romeo Nightingale (Owen Warner) really puts his foot in it with Rayne Royce (Jemma Donovan) in Hollyoaks next week, accusing her of having slept with someone else shortly after their night together.
The popular character has been unable to resist Rayne’s charms since returning to eponymous village and finding out that she is now living in Tom Cunningham’s (Ellis Hollins) place of residence.
One thing leads to another in upcoming scenes, with the two ultimately spending the night together, and Romeo is smitten – so much so that he wants to admit his feelings to Rayne, but is unsure if she feels the same.
Determined to get answers, he seeks advice of James (Gregory Finnegan), but an awkward encounter ensues, with Romeo making quite the accusation, believing Rayne to have slept with his best friend.
Awks.
Romeo, however, soon realises that he’s got the wrong end of the stick, and is forced to make an apology to Rayne, preparing a romantic meal as a gesture of his regret for what happened.
But will Rayne be willing to give him another shot?
That seems unlikely, with subsequent scenes seeing him struggle to make things right after what he’s done.
Romeo is nothing if not determined, however, and there he turns to Lacey Lloyd (Annabelle Davis) for some help and, afterwards, he sets up a grand romantic gesture – something unique to Rayne.

Will it be enough to win back Rayne’s affection? Is there definitely romance on the cards?
Jemma Donovan, who plays Rayne, reckons so, with the former Neighbours star telling Metro.co.uk: ‘It’s interesting, they’re both living in the same house, and they’re spending a lot of time together, so at some point something might happen.’
One to watch: Wednesday March 8 at 7pm on E4 and All4.
