Rylan Clark addresses Big Brother rumours after quitting Strictly’s It Takes Two

Rylan Clark has set fans into a frenzy after his shock announcement he’s leaving Strictly Come Dancing's spin-off show It Takes Two.

The beloved presenter, 34, has hosted BBC's It Takes Two for four years but has said that “it’s time to hang up his glittery jacket” and let someone else take over.

Rylan’s fans have started speculating about what his next showbiz job could be, and many think he quit the BBC show to host the upcoming revival of Big Brother on ITV

One excitable fan tweeted: “Does this mean you've had the BIG BROTHER JOB? X @Rylan please say YES!!”

Another teasingly posted: “Gutting… though it is the same sort of time Big Brother is due to air again so…”

Meanwhile, a third fan piped in with: “Not that I am jumping to conclusions or anything but I AM JUMPING… It Tales Two was always going to clash… with Big Brother…?”

Buy despite the hysteria, Rylan was quick to shut down the rumours on Wednesday (April 12), telling fans they're jumping to conclusions.

Taking to Twitter, he simply wrote: “Ur jumping sadly”.

As of yet, no presenters have been announced for Big Brother’s comeback and previous hosts Davina McCall and Emma Willis are not believed to be in the running, according to reports.

Rylan was a housemate on the eleventh series of Celebrity Big Brother and went on to win it. He then presented its spin-off Big Brother’s Bit on the Side from 2013 to 2018 so is no stranger to the show.

His full Strictly announcement read: “After four fantastic years it’s time for me to hang up my glittery jacket and say goodbye to It Takes Two.

“I’ve had the best time hosting the show alongside Janette and Zoe [Ball] and I can’t thank the amazing team enough for always putting on a great show.

“I’ve been welcomed into the Strictly family and will firmly hold that title dear to me.

“The time has come for me to pass on the baton to someone else and explore what else life has for me. Thank you Strictly, you will always have my heart… and dancing feet."

The new season of Big Brother is said to air this autumn.
