Simon Cowell told off by Ant and Dec as he meows at Amanda

Ant and Dec forced to tell Simon off for interrupting Amanda

Britain’s Got Talent final airs on Sunday, June 4 with a new winner finally being crowned and their chance to perform at the Royal Variety Show.

Judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon, and Bruno Tonioli saw the remaining acts on Friday night which included the dance duo Romeo & Icy.

However, hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly were forced to tell off Simon after he continued to interrupt his co-stars throughout their feedback.

Amanda noted: “Hello, I have to say that yes you have upped your game but for me, this still wasn’t at the level that I was hoping for.

“I think this is Britain’s Got Talent and we could go on all day about what brilliant characters you are and what great personalities you have.”

Whilst Amanda was attempting to give her feedback to the dancers, Simon was constantly making cat noises which began to drown out her feedback.

Noticing how Amanda was struggling to concentrate, Dec stepped in: “Simon, can we just hear what they have to say to the guys please?”

Holding his hands up, Simon quipped: “Oh sorry,” before Amanda continued: “That’s not what… we’re not looking just for that.

“We have to have a bit more and I don’t feel like that was that.”

Both Bruno and Alesha agreed with Amanda’s feedback, whilst Simon insisted that their performance wasn’t amazing but one that he wouldn’t forget.

Audience members were unhappy with the judge’s feedback and began booing in the background.

However, viewers at home agreed with their comments and took to Twitter to give their own opinions of the performance.

@x_beaumont_x noted: “Not the pro dancers showing up the dance act #bgt.”

Jamie Pragnell commented: “Wasn’t the best dance ever #bgt #bgt2023.”

Trevor Durham added: “Fair comments from Amanda and Alesha. Romeo and Icy really weren’t all that, many people could dance to that level #BGT #BGT2023 #BritainsGotTalent.”

@Oddsox_ asked: “Backing dancers doing the exact same dance as Romeo & Icy on #BGT So what’s the point!”

@Fay_Bishop8 said: “Having backup dancers on a dance act just makes them look worse…. Also shows it’s nothing special as they can employ others to do it as well #BGT #BritainsGotTalent #BGT2023.” (sic)

However, not all viewers were unimpressed with the performance as @DavidMackayy quipped: “The #bgt judges say ‘You’re a basic dance act, it’s nothing we haven’t seen before, you won’t win the show’.

“You put them through huns? Why put them through if you don’t think they’re gonna win.” (sic)

Britain’s Got Talent final airs Sunday from 8pm on ITV.
