Sinister villain heading for death after brutal attack in Emmerdale
A single punch is all it takes to ruin lives as Dan (Liam Fox) is about to find out in Emmerdale.
On learning Amelia (Daisy Campbell) had a stalker in the form of Lloyd (Matt Sutton), Dan issued Lloyd with a threat. It backfired, and the harassment escalated – which saw Dan respond with his fists.
The result was to leave Lloyd hospitalised and on the brink of death.
Now Dan is facing the very real possibility Lloyd might die at his hands. He goes to the hospital where he is left stunned at finding Lloyd’s wife Julie by his side.
As actor Liam Fox explained to Metro.co.uk: ‘He’d never thought about Lloyd having a family of any description. When he meets the wife, she’s so normal and nice and everything. That makes him feel worse – maybe Lloyd isn’t the person he thought he was.’
So, has Dan got this all wrong?

Liam added of Lloyd: ‘There’s something very normal about him.’ Perhaps instead he’s just the worst kind of villain.
Dan tries to hide his fear from Ameila, but he’s taken in for questioning and the detective gives him a particularly hard time. What’s worse is that DS Giles reveals that Lloyd’s phone showed no law breaks, making Dan’s attack seem completely unjustified.
Dan is left horrified when he’s charged with GBH. Alluding to what’s ahead for the troubled family, Liam said: ‘If her [Amelia’s] dad gets locked up it could change everything.’
When Amelia learns of his arrest and charge, Dan grabs a bottle of whiskey and heads to the woods. David finds him and encourages him to talk, but no amount of talking can quell his fear of losing Amelia.
Dan heads home where his drunken belligerence comes to the fore, and before his sensible Dan head can return, he unleashes unfettered vitriol on Amelia, blaming her for everything. His outburst is damaging, but not as damaging as the police officer’s questioning of him, which Liam Fox revealed could be the key to his undoing.
‘She’s got him on everything,’ he said.
‘Everything he’s said, everything that’s happened originally with Lloyd, the threats that Dan’s made to Lloyd and going to the hospital talking to Lloyd’s wife. He feels trapped. It’s not looking good. He could be charged with GBH.’ Is there no way out for Dan?
