Spoilers: Natasha's brutal murder is revisited in sad Coronation Street scenes

Natasha in Corrie

Natasha Blakeman’s (Rachel Leskovac) death in Coronation Street broke all of our hearts.

It happened around this time last year, during Super Soap Week.

Following her return with young Sam (Jude Riordan) in tow, Natasha was planning to get settled into Weatherfield life for good.

However, as Halloween arrived, everything changed.

Sam put forward his idea of dressing up as The Adam’s Family for Debbie’s (Sue Devaney) Halloween event, with Natasha and Leanne (Jane Danson) wearing the same outfits to represent the fact he essentially had two mums at that point.

Meanwhile, as the Alahan family headed out of Coronation Street for their holiday, they ended up crashing into a van carrying Harvey (Will Mellor).

Harvey managed to escape the van and make his way back to the cobbles, hellbent on destroying Leanne once and for all.

Harvey’s plan to capture Leanne ended up going awry largely due to the storm and collapsing sinkhole, which dropped him through the floor, into the sewers and by the canal.

Heading back once more, this time with a gun in hand, Harvey broke into Leanne’s flat and pulled the trigger, only to find he had actually shot Sam’s mum.

Next week, the ordeal is revisited as Nick and Sam prepare to mark the anniversary of Natasha’s death.

With Nick and Sam under the impression Leanne has gone to do a bit of shopping, it soon becomes apparent she’s lied and is secretly heading to the prison.

As Will Mellor reprises his role as Harvey Gaskell, the drug lord tells Leanne that Sam has been writing letters to him and wants it to stop.

After Leanne and Nick attempt to put a stop to Sam contacting Harvey, the young lad tells Hope (Isabella Flanagan) that he’s sent another letter to the prisoner and his dad would kill him if he knew.

In the prison cell, Harvey opens Sam’s letter and is amused to see that he’s sent him a questionnaire to fill in about his violent past.

But will this help Sam find closure?

And how will Nick react when he finds out Sam is still lying to him?
