Spoilers: Robyn's life hangs in the balance after collapse in Casualty

After she shockingly collapsed at the end of last week’s episode of Casualty, Robyn (Amanda Henderson) is found by Paul (Paul Popplewell) and rushed back into the ED in a seriously ill condition.

As Dylan (William Beck) and the team to find out what’s wrong with her, an angry Paul puts the blame for the collapse squarely at Adi (Raj Bajaj)’s feet. ‘I swear if this is because of you…’ he threatens.

Robyn’s main concern is her daughter, Charlotte. She’d been on her way to see Charlotte’s school play when she fell ill, and Paul rushes to the school, which is not as random as it sounds given that Paul has previously been on holiday to Morecambe Bay with Robyn and her daughter.

As Paul tries to cheer a disappointed Charlotte up, back in the ED Robyn has taken a turn for the worse. Then Paul gets a phone call…

As everyone waits for news about Robyn, Marty (Shaheen Jafargholi) can’t help wondering whether Adi’s desperation to be a father is more important to him than anything else – including Robyn’s health and Marty himself.

Remember Jonty Buchanan (Richard Harrington), he horrible, arrogant anaesthetist who kept clashing with Stevie (Elinor Lawless) before resigning in a rage after Marcus (Adam Sina) sided with Stevie?

Well, he’s back tonight and he’s not in a good way. Now without a job and having been thrown out of the house by his wife, he comes back to the house in a drunken rage to try to see his son – and badly cuts himself on broken glass trying to break in.

This means a trip to the ED, where he’s not happy to see Stevie and refuses to be treated by her. This leaves Paige (Shalisha James-Davis) in charge of his case and she’s worried about his mental health.

But when Stevie insists on him being discharged against Paige’s instincts, things become a whole lot worse and Stevie finds herself in trouble with Dylan – and with Marcus.
