Strictly viewers in tears as they spot Dianne Buswell crying before dance off

Strictly Come Dancing fans were left in tears on Sunday 23 October evening's segment of the BBC One show, where two couples went head to head in a dance off.

The results show started out without a hitch as the professional dancers came on stage to dance in tribute to the natural world as part of a celebration in honour of BBC's 100 years.

Following the routine, which was narrated by David Attenborough, the pro dancers and their celebrity partners filed in to hear host Tess Daly, 53, share who would be moving onto the following week's theme of Halloween alongside who would be in the dreaded dance off.

The first couple to be announced in the dance off was Molly Rainford, 21, and Carlos Gu, 28, and as each couple after them were saved, only Jayde Adams, 37, and her partner Karen Hauer, 40, alongside Dianne, 33, and her celebrity partner Tyler West, 26, were left.

Dianne, who recently showed off the clever way she faked her fringe for the Movie Night, could be seen visibly anxious as she wrapped one arm around Tyler, bending her head low to look at the ground as she awaited Tess' final announcement.

As Tess revealed that Jayde would be competing against Molly to remain on the show, Dianne appeared to relax – but not before viewers at home spotted her crying.

Taking to social media, one person wrote: "Dianne crying omg im literally crying with her #strictly".

Another shared: "Dianne heavy breathing bless her, can they stop leaving her to last! #strictly," as a third chimed: "dianne’s little face is so sad she was so worried bless her #strictly," followed by two crying emojis.

A fourth commented: "Dianne looked like she was going to be sick, but not surprised it’s Jayde in the bottom two. I just can’t see her beat Molly. #Strictly".

While a fifth added: "dianne looked so anxious bless her wanna give her a hug #Strictly".

Following Dianne's anxiety-ridden moment, Jayde and Molly both competed against each other in the dance off. Ultimately, the judges chose to save Molly, citing her "slightly more polished technique” as the reason behind their choices.

Jayde appeared to take the news well as she shared: “This has been the best thing I have ever done in my life and I will carry it to my grave, and it has been an absolute pleasure working with you (Karen) and learning about so much that will go into my own stuff, in my own work.

“You are one of the most gifted people I have ever worked with Karen.

“And everyone on this show, said it to me, when I had you, they said ‘you’ve got the best one’ sorry everyone, and I did and you are fantastic and this has been such an honour.

“Not only have I got to be on Strictly Come Dancing but I got to have Karen Hauer, you are amazing, thank you for everything!”
