TalkTV's Vanessa Feltz signs up for huge dating show after heartbreaking split with fiance | The Sun
Vanessa Feltz has signed up to star in the new series of Celebs Go Dating after the show spent months wooing her.
The Sun can exclusively reveal that the legendary TalkTV broadcaster, 61, is the first star to seal the deal to take part in the next run of the E4 series.
This follows bosses being desperate to sign Vanessa after she dumped her cheating ex, Ben Ofoedu back in February.
A TV insider said: “When Vanessa was first approached to do the show, she wasn’t 100% sure as the break-up was very fresh and she didn’t want to rush into anything.
“Now she has had time to think about it and she’s decided to give it a whirl. Her relationship coming to a devastating, unexpected end after 16 years has made her realise that life is short and you have to grab opportunities when they come your way.

“She’s not necessarily expecting to find her soulmate, but she’s also keeping an open mind as stranger things have happened. At 61 years old, she wants to have fun, live life and try new things – and this fits the bill perfectly.”
Execs at Channel 4, meanwhile, are rubbing their hands together at landing such a big name as The Sun previously revealed Vanessa had been top of their wish list for months.
The source added: “She’s the biggest name they’ve booked in ages and they’re confident she will be the star attraction of the series. She’s funny, whip-smart and loved by the public, who want nothing more than for her to get the happy ending she deserves.
“Vanessa isn’t going to just give her heart to anyone, it will take someone very special indeed for her to find Mr Right again, but producers are lining up some great guys for her to go on dates with and are really hoping they find someone she has a magic spark with.”

The Sun has approached reps for Vanessa and Celebs Go Dating for comment.
The Sun on Sunday revealed earlier this year how Vanessa discovered a trail of emails and social media messages leading her to uncover several of Ben’s infidelities.
Vanessa told us at the time: “It’s a lot to deal with — a shock like this takes some adjusting to — but I am extremely sad and disappointed that my 16-year relationship with Ben is over.
“As an agony aunt I have said many times that once the trust in a relationship is gone, it can never be repaired or regained."
