In February, The Blacklist made its eagerly-awaited return to NBC for its 10th and final season. Although fans dread the show’s conclusion, actor Harry Lennix dropped hints about his character Harold Cooper’s conclusion.

With fans only two episodes into season 10, many are eager to see how the instalment will unfold for ‘Red’ (played by James Spader).

Although the conclusion will mark the end of The Blacklist, fans have long questioned Red’s true identity.

The task force continues to investigate the blacklisters led by the FBI’s Assistant Director for Counter-terrorism, Harold Cooper (Harry Lennix).

As for his storyline, Harry opened up about what season 10 could have in store for Cooper as well as his character’s ending.

The actor shared: “I think Cooper has been, for more or less, the entire time, kind of the eyes of the audience.

“He’s been around a little bit, but the challenges of working with Reddington are endless and I think to some extent I reflect that for the audience.”

Harry continued: “’What is he up to, how is he going to move into this thing,’ but I hope that both the character Cooper and the audience walk away with a feeling of satisfaction.

“That they got a complete meal, they got the dessert and all of that.

“That’s the mood I think I’m looking forward to is to feel satisfied with how we wrap things up,” Harry added to KXAS-TV.

With this tease, fans could potentially see a huge storyline ahead for Cooper.

Following Aram Mojtabai (Amir Arison) and Alina Park’s (Laura Sohn) departure from the task force, Cooper will likely be focused on rebuilding his team.

Although Siya Malik (Anya Banerjee) has joined the task force as a newcomer, the CIA agent has ulterior reasons.

In season one, her mother Meera Malik (Parminder Nagra) worked alongside Red as a CIA agent but was killed in the line of duty.

It’s likely Red knows more about her murder than what was initially revealed.

Although fans are looking forward to watching the series unfold, many are also dreading the finale.

The Blacklist’s cancellation was confirmed in January, in a statement showrunner John Eisendrath shared: “After 10 years, hundreds of Blacklist cases and more than 200 episodes produced, we’re honored to reach our conclusion.

“It’s been incredibly fun to create the strange, devious, and delightful Blacklisters to challenge Raymond Reddington and our FBI Task Force each week.

“We would like to thank everyone at NBC and Sony, our extraordinary crew who make the impossible happen every day, our endlessly inventive writers and producers, and our remarkable cast who brought life to these characters.”

John concluded: “We appreciate our dedicated fanbase who came along for this wonderful ride and are excited to share this final season with them.”

The Blacklist season 10 continues Sundays on NBC in the USA.
