LEGENDARY star Tina Turner has died at the age of 83.
In a statement, the singer's spokespeople said: "Tina Turner, the 'Queen of Rock'n Roll' has died peacefully today at the age of 83 after a long illness in her home in Kusnacht near Zurich, Switzerland. With her, the world loses a music legend and a role model."
Tina's cause of death has not been confirmed.
Beyoncé icon led the tributes to Turner, as she said: "My beloved queen. I love you endlessly. I’m so grateful for your inspiration, and all the ways you have paved the way.
“You are strength and resilience. You are the epitome of power and passion. We are all so fortunate to have witnessed your kindness and beautiful spirit. That will forever remain. Thank you for all you have done.”

Tina Turner on her husband Erwin Bach
Tina Turner married Erwin Bach in 2013 and he became the stepfather to her children.
She said of their relationship in her book, “Erwin, who is a force of nature in his own right, has never been the least bit intimidated by my career, my talents, or my fame.
“He shows me that true love doesn’t require the dimming of my light so that he can shine.

Erwin Bach 65, was married to Tina Turner and works as a music executive, actor, and producer.
He was born in Cologne, Germany.
As well as a career in music, he is an actor and producer having worked on Tina and Tina Turner – One of the Living, films about his wife.

When did Ike Turner die
Ike passed away on December 12, 2007, at his home in San Marcos, California.
His body was reportedly found by his ex-wife Ann and his assistant Falina Rasool.
The San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office reported that Turner had died from a cocaine overdose, as it was reported in January 2008.
Ike left no will to his fortune and a judge ruled that his children would be the beneficiaries of his estate after his passing.

A tumultuous marriage with Ike Turner
Tina Turner alleged that her relationship with Ike Turner was physically abusive and in her memoir, My Love Story, Tina described feeling reluctant to wed, saying: “(Arguing) would just make him mad, and that might lead to a beating.
Adding: “I definitely didn’t want a black eye on my wedding day.”

Cher opens up about Tina's death
Cher opened up about Tina Turner's death during a phone interview with MSNBC.
She revealed that she started visiting Tina while she was sick and took turns with other family members to make sure Tina knew she was loved.
Cher added that Tina was really happy during her final days and that even though she was really sick, she was "having a good time."
Cher commended her friend for who she was as a person and artist.

- Turner was born Anna Mae Bullock.
- When she first started performing, she used the stage name "Little Ann."
- In 1960, her partner at the time, Ike, gave her the name Tina Turner.
- She sang in Ike's band and reportedly, Ike trademarked the name in case she decided to leave the group, so another singer could perform under the moniker.
Tina's Childhood
The star was born to parents Floyd and Zelma Bullock in rural Tennessee in 1939.
After her parents separated in the early 50s, young Tina moved in with her maternal grandmother.
When she was 16, Whitney made her way to Saint Louis where immersed herself in the R&B scene, launching her music career.

Tina and Erwin's love story, part two
Tina continued about meeting Erwin: “I thought that I could say that because I was a free woman, I didn’t have a boyfriend, I liked him.
“There was nothing wrong with it — it was just sex. And he looked at me as if he didn’t believe what he was hearing.
"He was just so different, so laid back, so comfortable, so unpretentious, and that was the beginning of our relationship.”
As love blossomed, Tina started to wind up her recording career, making her last album in 1999, aged 59. She gave her final performance in 2009.

Tina met Erwin in 1986
Tina met German record producer Erwin Bach while visiting Europe in 1986. She was 46 and he was 30, but it was love at first sight — though they didn’t marry until 2013.
Tina recalls: “He had the prettiest face. It was like, ‘Where did he come from?’ He was so good-looking. My heart went ba-bum. It means that a soul has met.
"When he found out that I liked him he came to America and we were in Nashville and I said to him, ‘When you come to LA I want you to make love to me.'"
