Tipping Point addicts were forced to forego their daily dose of the popular ITV quiz show as the channel made way for horse racing coverage today (April 13).

The cherished telly staple, which has die-hard fans tuning in religiously at 4 PM, has been given the cold shoulder in favour of today's high-stakes equestrian event.

The sudden schedule shakeup has left Tipping Point enthusiasts forced to forfeit their daily fix of trivia and suspense for an hour of equestrian action as ITV joins the races live at the Randox Grand National Festival.

Typically, the network either delays the show and airs it in a later time-slot or shows a highlights episode of just 30 minutes to ensure fans get some Tipping point action.

But the show has simply been struck form the schedule.

However, fans will be able to tune into the network’s sister gameshow, The Chase, which is set to air in its usual time slot of 5pm.

On a recent episode of the show, viewers were left fuming as a contestant received what fans dubbed a "joke" of a mystery prize.

Vivienne, Alex, Chloe, and John all took on the extraordinary machine, hoping to hit the cash jackpot.

Early in the episode, Alex managed to secure a mystery prize when a rare counter dropped out. However, he seemed less than thrilled to discover the prize was just a Bluetooth speaker.

Host Ben Shephard announced: "You got your hands on a mystery prize, which is a Bluetooth speaker!" Alex's reaction was rather stoic as he simply said: "Thank you."

Tipping Point fans were quick to criticize the "poor" prize compared to previous rewards given out on the show.

One viewer scoffed, “TV pushing the boat out with the mystery prize again. £40 at most #tippingpoint.”

Another sarcastically remarked, “Fun prize #TippingPoint,” followed by a thinking face emoji. A third added, “Disappointment on Alex's face with the Mystery.”

This wasn't the first time the show faced backlash over its prizes. In another recent episode, contestant Hayley won a mystery prize – a Slush Puppie machine – when the rare counter fell out. While Hayley was ecstatic, exclaiming, "I so wanted one! Thank you!", fans were far from impressed.
