Tipping Point star Ben Shephard told a player off for being "too excited" after she made a risky move on Thursday (July 13).

The presenter, 48, welcomed Riana, Bobbie, Nathan and Andy into the studio who went head-to-head with each other in a bid to win the £10,000 prize.

Estate agent Riana, who hails from London, got off to a flying start, finishing the first round with £1,150 in her bank.

Nathan was the first player to be eliminated, closely followed by Andy who failed to build up the same amount of cash in his bank as his fellow players.

Heading into the third round was Riana who had £1,550 in her bank and Bobbie who managed to make quite the comeback with £1,250.

Riana was asked: "In February 2020, Armand Duplantis set the world record in which athletic event?"

After struggling to find the correct answer, Riana passed the question to Bobbie who incorrectly guessed 800 metres.

As the correct answer was Pole Vault, it meant Riana was given the chance to put the counter in the machine.

Lighting up drop zone three, Riana immediately pushed her buzzer, prompting the counter to shoot down into the machine at lightning speed.

"Woah, Riana," said Ben. "You took a big risk on the release then. Too excited."

Despite her risky tactics, Riana made it through to the final round, with only £50 separating her and Bobbie after the last question.

As she put the jackpot counter into the machine, it didn't look like luck was on Riana's side given she only managed to win nine counters out of a possible 18.

But after she answered her final question, the jackpot counter had made it onto the bottom shelf and it wouldn't take much to get it over the tipping point.

Taking the trade, Riana decided to forfeit the £2,700 in her bank in favour of three more counters to push the jackpot counter over the edge.

To the mum-of-one's delight, her final counter pushed the jackpot counter over the tipping point, meaning Riana walked away with a huge £10,000.
