TOWIEs Tommy Mallet couldnt afford petrol before multi-million-pound business

The Only Way Is Essex's Tommy Mallet has explained he struggled to pay for his gym membership during his time on the ITV programme.

Tommy, 30, first appeared on the programme back in 2014 before striking up a relationship with Georgia Kousoulou, who he now shares a child with.

However, despite looking like "the b****ks", Tommy was financially suffering and put on a brave face at all times.

The businessman even resulted in getting help from Georgia who would drive him to filming as he couldn't afford to put petrol in his car.

Speaking openly about his experience, Tommy told the Anything Goes with James English podcast: "I had this big watch on, I was going to these events.

"I was like 'what the f**k am I doing?' I looked like I'm the b****ks right now, anyone looking at me would think 'you're having it off, ain't you?'

"I never had a pot to p**s in."

He continued: "I couldn't pay my gym memberships, I was on the show giving it the bigg'un to people and I must have looked like a rich geezer.

"I did not have a f**king pound, I weren't paying rent at home, I sometimes didn't have petrol in my car to get to filming.

"Georgia had to drive me a few times to work because I never had the money to get there, that's the reality."

Tommy added: "People don't like admitting that sort of stuff, that's the reality of what it took.

"I had to say to Georgia 'George, would you be able to drop me to filming, I've got no petrol in my car' and I had to make things up, I'd have to make it up to do it."

Fans of the podcast praised Tommy in the comment section for being brutally honest, with one saying: "I think we can all agree he gets some much respect for telling the truth. Hope he's doing well for himself now."

"Brought myself a pair of mallets to support this man. Come from nothing and made himself something. Good luck to you bro," added a second.

Before a third added: "He's done so well for himself. Tommy and Georgia seem like such a lovely couple."

"Love how humble he is. I wish him all the success & luck in the world with his brand," typed another.

Tommy owns the successful trainer brand Mallet London which rocketed during the pandemic giving him an estimated net worth of £6 million.
