Traitors star eyes up new role with Katie Price but it could be a minefield

Traitors star Kieran Tompsett is eyeing up a new project with reality TV icon Katie Price.

Kieran spoke exclusively to the Daily Star ahead of the BAFTA TV awards, which his BBC exit scene has been nominated for, for most Memorable Moment of the Year.

This also follows the news that Kieran has just been unveiled as PTSD UK's latest celebrity ambassador.

When asked if he would like to bridge out his awareness journey into the TV world, Kieran said it was "absolutely" something he had his eye on.

The BBC legend also announced that he would love to team up with other celebs to help spread the message, including Katie Price, who released her own documentary about her struggles with it last year.

"That would be great, yeah 100%, a lot of women have also reached out to me after my interview, some of the messages are so upsetting but I always try to respond to them the best way I can.

"Though it's a bit of a minefield with what you say to try and help people, as we aren't trained professionals, so getting two people and a professional on board would work really work. But if you can stop people from thinking those thoughts, then what harm does that do? Nothing, only good."

"I'm going to try to get a documentary, or a chat show, or something where we can all talk about stuff as it's not really a taboo subject now, things are changing and it's for the better."

Talking about his past struggles with his mental health, Kieran said: "I didn't know I suffered from PTSD at all when I was younger and I lost my nephew, I just went off the rails, no one is designed to bury a baby. the stabbing was a life-changing circumstance for me and never got help at the tie until the very last knock-in.

"Then when I lost my mum it consumed me and I had suicidal thoughts, they're all very different types of trauma, but they all follow similar patterns, which is PTSD really.

"When I look back now after my lowest points, I just thought yeah there is light at the end of the tunnel and you have to get help. Luckily I came out the other way but I've had close calls in life, where I wouldn't be here, so if we can help people and raise awareness then would mean a lot."
